MCKINNEY, Texas – Two days have come and gone at the 2026 Western Athletic Conference Women's Golf Tournament and UT Arlington held serve, remaining in third place going into the final round. The Mavericks posted a nearly identical score to their first-round 304, finishing with a 15-over-par 303 in their rain-delayed second round. 

UTA is 12 back of Abilene Christian and Tarleton State who are each tied for the lead. 

Tarini Bhoga entered the day already in the top 10 individually and led the way for UTA with a 1-over 73 in the second round. The sophomore birdied a pair of holes – both on an even-par 36 front nine – and made par on a team-high 13 holes. 

Bhoga is tied for sixth place going into the final round at 4-over. The Frisco-native is four strokes back of Abilene Christian's Ryann Honea for the lead.

Coming into the second day, Nitisha Manikandesh paced the Mavericks and sat in third place after the opening round. A 4-over 76 saw the senior slip in the standings, but Manikandesh is still in the top 10, placing eighth with a 5-over 149 going into the final round. The Plano-native also birdied a team-high three holes.

Nirjara Gulhane made the biggest leap on the leaderboard among Mavericks, carding a 4-over 76 that vaulted the junior up 10 spots and into a tie for 23rd place. Gulhane was one of three Mavericks to birdie the par-4 eighth hole and one of two to record an even-par front or back nine after shooting a 36 on the front.

Kamri Gabel improved on her opening round score by three strokes, carding a 6-over 78 in the second. The senior is tied for 27th. 

Rounding out the UTA lineup is Chandler Browning who posted an 8-over 80 on day two. The redshirt senior is tied for 15th with an 11-over 155. 

The final round of the WAC championship begins at 8 a.m. Wednesday at The Clubs of Stonebridge Ranch - Hills Course in McKinney. All groups will tee off at the first hole in 10-minute intervals. UTA's first scheduled tee time is at 9:40 a.m.
