ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington's
Alex Kalmar has earned Western Athletic Conference weekly honors after his standout performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif.
Kalmar earned first place in the men's 800m, while setting the new UTA program record with a time of 1:46.86. The senior ranks 30th in the country and 14th in the West region. He also ranks first in the WAC in the men's 800m.

The Mavericks will continue the outdoor season, traveling to the OU O'Ring Alumni Open in Norman, Okla., at the John Jacobs Track & Field Complex. The competition is set for Friday, April 24 through Saturday, April 25.
