NORMAN, Okla. – The UT Arlington track & field team opened competition at the OU O'Ring Alumni Open on Friday, April 24.
On the multis side,
Eliza Lemberga sits in fourth place with 3,049 points in the heptathlon. A key highlight of her day was a second-place finish in the heptathlon shot put (12.61m)
In the field events,
Jaalah Puryear led the UTA women's throwers with a seventh-place finish in the hammer throw (54.13m).
Azaryah Jackson recorded a personal best in the event with a mark of 46.76m.
On the men's side,
Gabe Songer paced the UTA throwers, also placing seventh with a personal-best mark of 50.89m in the hammer throw.
NEXT UP
The Mavericks will continue competition at the OU O'Ring Alumni Open on Saturday, April 25 with the remainder of multis and field events, such as pole vault, long jump, triple jump and high jump. Track events will begin tomorrow as well.
