EL MACERO, Calif. – UT Arlington men's golf is gearing up for its final tournament of the regular season, traveling to California to compete in the El Macero Classic, hosted by UC Davis. The Mavericks join a field that includes 19 teams.

UTA is coming off an 18th place finish in the 25-team field at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, posting an 18-over-par 882 for the tournament.

The Mavericks will carry the same five golfers that competed at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic into the El Macero Classic. Matthew Broder will be the first Maverick to tee off, starting at 10:55 a.m. Friday at Hole 10.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Arth Sinha

• Once again leading the way for UTA was Sinha. The freshman tied for 53rd at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic — tied for the best finish among Mavericks — with a 2-over 218. Sinha was within one stroke of par in every round, posting scores of 72-73-73.

Ajay Morris

• Morris matched Sinha's 218 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, using a 3-under 69 in the final round to surge 36 spots up the leaderboard. The freshman's showing on the final day was one of two Maverick rounds under par at the tournament. 

Nicholas Lyman

• Highlighted by an even-par 72 in the opening round, Lyman carded a total score of 221 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. The freshman tied for 72nd, the third best mark on the team.

Michael Chevalier

• Chevalier finished with a 22-over 238 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic. The junior came in 125th at the tournament.

Matthew Broder

• Broder posted the Mavericks' other below-par round at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic with a 2-under 70 in the second. The junior placed in a tie for 92nd with a 9-over 225 overall.
