ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington Men's Golf has signed its fourth transfer, bringing in
Sawyer Chamblee as the team's sixth newcomer. Chamblee — a native of Ahoskie, North Carolina — joins the Mavericks as a redshirt Sophomore.
Chamblee began his collegiate career with the Liberty Flames. The then-freshman spent the 2024-25 season at Liberty, but did not compete in any tournaments. Chamblee then took a gap year for the 2025-26 season.
While attending Ridgecroft School in Ahoskie, Chamblee competed in soccer and basketball in addition to golf. The 2024 Ridgecroft graduate earned four all-conference selections and helped guide the school to an NCISAA Division 1A Golf State Championship in 2022, as well as a runner-up finish in 2021.
The 6'4 incoming redshirt sophomore joins Joseph Hayden,
Ed Procter and
Winston Shen to currently make up the Mavericks transfer class. Chamblee plans to major in business.
