ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington Baseball will compete in the 2027 Cleburne College Baseball Series at La Moderna Field in Cleburne, Texas, from March 5-7, 2027, as announced today by REV Entertainment. The four-team field will feature UT Arlington, UTSA, Tarleton State, and Washington State.

The Mavericks will compete in the event, which is part of the nationally recognized College Baseball Series, a collection of premier early-season Division I tournaments hosted throughout the country.

"We look forward to competing in the 2027 Cleburne College Baseball Series," said UTA head coach Mike Trapasso. "A major part of building our program is challenging ourselves against quality opponents in outstanding environments. UTSA, Tarleton State, and Washington State are all excellent programs that will provide great competition.

"La Moderna Field is a tremendous venue, and with Cleburne being so close to Arlington, it's a terrific opportunity for our fans to come out and support the Mavericks. We are grateful for the opportunity and expect the series to be a great experience for everyone involved."

The tournament field features three programs coming off significant success during the 2026 season. Tarleton State captured both the Western Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships and advanced to its first NCAA Division I Regional, while Washington State earned an NCAA Tournament appearance. UTSA claimed its second consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season title.

La Moderna Field, home of the American Association's Cleburne Railroaders, hosted the College Baseball Series for the first time in 2026 and will serve as one of five host sites for the event in 2027.

Match-ups and game times for the 2027 Cleburne College Baseball Series will be announced later.

The College Baseball Series is a premier collection of early-season NCAA Division I baseball tournaments. Since its inception in 2021, the series has hosted more than 140 games and welcomed over 430,000 fans. The 2027 season will feature the largest schedule in event history, with seven tournaments across five locations.
