The top-rate facilities will give our student-athletes a premier course to practice and play on, and afford them a collegiate golfing experience which rivals that of any program in the nation.Jon Fagg, UT Arlington Director of Athletics
The world's only Major League Baseball-branded golf course, Texas Rangers Golf Club – which opened in February of 2019 – is the home of UT Arlington's men's and women's golf programs.
Texas Rangers Golf Club (TRGC) is the result of a $24 million project which includes a total renovation and updated routing of the former Chester W. Ditto Golf Course at Brown Boulevard and Collins Street, just a few miles north of UTA's campus.
Making TRGC an even more fitting location for the Home of UTA Golf is that the course was designed by UTA alumni John Colligan and Trey Kemp of Arlington-based Colligan Golf Design.
An expansive 23-acre practice area – which includes a wide, multi-level driving range, several short-game and putting areas and even a Texas Rangers-logoed on-deck circle – serves as an ideal space for training.
A new 33,871-square-foot clubhouse, which opened in March of 2021, features a full-service restaurant and bar, covered patio overlooking the golf course, pro shop, locker rooms and numerous rental and event spaces.
As the Home of UTA Golf, TRGC will host collegiate tournaments, in addition to the department's annual Mav Open fundraiser each fall and other special events throughout the course of the year. Fans can also purchase UTA merchandise in the TRGC Pro Shop.
We love being a part of Texas Rangers Golf Club. Having it located so close to campus is great for our athletes. The practice facilities are outstanding and the course provides a challenging test for our players.”Catherine Matranga, Head Women's Golf Coach
The City of Arlington is proud to welcome the UTA men's and women's golf programs to Texas Rangers Golf Club, further bolstering the relationship between the city and our hometown Mavericks. It's a great partnership between a first-class golf course that continues to rise in acclaim since our recent renovation paired with two upstart golf programs. We look forward to showcasing Arlington and Texas Rangers Golf Club to the collegiate golf community.Trey Yelverton, Arlington City Manager and UTA Alumnus
