Jermaine Conrad joined the inaugural staff of UTA Flag Football program as Assistant Coach in May of 2026.
Conrad brings more than 18 years of coaching experience and an extensive leadership background following a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Navy. He currently serves as head coach and director of H.E.R. Flag Football in Haltom City, Texas, where he oversees two high school girls flag football teams and has helped develop multiple collegiate student-athletes. Throughout his coaching career, Conrad has led championship-winning youth programs and has built a reputation for player development, recruitment and creating positive team cultures. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management at Southern New Hampshire University.
Prior to joining UTA, he served as Head Coach and Director for H.E.R. Flag Football in Haltom City, Texas, and as an Assistant Coach for UTA Flag Football since May 2026, Conrad plays a key role in developing athletes at both the youth and collegiate levels. He oversees player development, game preparation, strategic planning, and program growth while helping athletes maximize their potential on and off the field. Under his leadership and mentorship, numerous athletes have earned collegiate opportunities, including scholarships and commitments to institutions such as Texas Wesleyan University, East Texas Baptist University, and UNT Dallas.
Conrad coached youth football programs in Virginia, Tennessee, and Washington, achieving multiple championship titles and helping student-athletes advance to collegiate competition. His coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development, character building, teamwork, and leadership both on and off the field.
In addition to his coaching accomplishments, Conrad retired from the U.S. Navy after two decades of distinguished service. As a senior leader, he managed teams of more than 200 personnel, directed multimillion-dollar operations, and served as a Navy Enlisted Recruiter, developing expertise in talent identification, mentorship, and program management. His military experience provides a strong foundation in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and personnel development.
Conrad holds a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a concentration in Leadership Essentials from Southern New Hampshire University and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Sports Management, expected in November 2026. He is also certified in CPR and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
