Jake Nakagawa is in his first year at UT Arlington as Athletic Field Lead.
Over the past six years, Nakagawa served multiple security officer roles at both Six Flags and Children’s Health in Dallas. He also previously spent time at UT Arlington in the environmental health and safety department, providing various fire safety duties for the University.
Nakagawa, who played prep baseball at Moanalua High School in Honolulu, has volunteered his time as a youth baseball coach at multiple stops over the years while also donating time at the food bank.
A resident of Mansfield, Texas, Nakagawa initially took classes at the University of Hawai’i in West O’ahu before eventually landing at UT Arlington, where he majored in psychology. He earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Leeward Community College.
