Jalen Williams joined the UT Arlington men’s basketball program as a graduate assistant in 2026 while pursuing a Master of Multidisciplinary Studies with an Entrepreneurship Graduate Certificate and additional coursework in communication.
Williams came to UTA following a five-year collegiate playing career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Studies Education. A team captain from 2024-26, he helped lead the Savage Storm to Great American Conference championships in 2021-22 and 2022-23 while developing a reputation for leadership, accountability and competitive excellence.
Throughout his undergraduate career, Williams earned Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognition and was named to the Great American Conference Academic Honor Roll during the 2025-26 academic year.
Prior to his collegiate career, Williams attended Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Texas, where he was a member of a Texas UIL State Championship basketball team.
As a graduate assistant with the Mavericks, Williams assists with the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball program, including player development, scouting preparation, film breakdown and other responsibilities that support the program’s success on and off the court.
