Brumitt joined the UT Arlington volleyball program as an assistant coach in April 2026, working under head coach Tania Schatow.
Brumitt brings a strong playing background and coaching background to the Mavericks after a successful collegiate career at Carthage college. A four-year student athlete and outside hitter from 2020-24, he helped lead the program to two NCAA Division III National Championships (2021, 2022) and was a 2024 recipient of the CCIW Respect Award.Â
Prior to arriving to UTA, Brumitt served as a graduate assistant coach at North Dakota State. In that role, he worked closely with student-athletes on both the mental and physical aspects of the game, specializing in pin and middle attacking, blocking, techniques, and serve-receive. He also contributed to summer camp operations, team logistics and recruiting efforts.
A native of Burbonnais, Illinois, Brumitt earned his bachelor's degree in finance, management and marketing from Carthage in 2024. He is currently pursuing his MBA at North Dakota State, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026.
