Kyle Callender is entering his second year working as the Director of the Maverick Club in 2022-23. He began his time with the Mavericks in July of 2019.
Callender is responsible for overseeing all fundraising initiatives which include premium seating, the Athletic Department’s Maverick Club Excellence fund, endowments, major gifts and special projects including all department-wide fundraisers. He also oversees the College Park Center Suites during basketball gamedays.
During his time at UTA, Callender has served a key role in growing sport specific giving, and day of giving numbers. He has contributed to multiple $50K fundraising days/events, and a number of other successful projects within his time with UTA Athletics.Â
Originally from Lake Zurich, Ill., Callender received his bachelor’s degree from the Eastern Illinois University in 2016 where he was a four-year member and team captain of the EIU men's soccer program. He also earned a master’s degree from the same institution in May of 2019 following his time as a graduate assistant, and the Assistant Director of EIU's Panther Athletic Support Services Staff. Throughout his tenure, Callender was in charge of team-advisement for nine of their Division-I programs, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and their EPIC Life Skills Program.
