ARLINGTON, Texas...Sophomore Stephanie Miklis slammed a career high 14 kills in only her second collegiate start to lead The University of Texas at Arlington to a three-game victory (30-15, 30-21, 30-24) over Louisiana-Monroe in Southland Conference volleyball action here Friday. UTA improves to 9-10 overall and 7-4 in the league, while the Lady Indians fall to 3-19 and 0-11 in the SLC.

The Mavericks hit a season high .431 in the match. Joining Miklis in double figure kills was senior Melissa Robinett (11) and junior Caley Smith (10). Smith completed the double-double with 10 digs. Freshman libero Ashley Smith also contributed 13 digs.

Texas-Arlington returns to action Saturday at 4 p.m. when Northwestern State visits Texas Hall.
