ARLINGTON, TX – The UT Arlington volleyball team opens United Athletic Conference play on the road, Tuesday, traveling to Stephenville to take on Tarleton State at 6 p.m. CT in Wisdom Gym.
Tuesday marks the Mavericks' first conference match of the season and their inaugural UAC contest. UTA enters league play following a 2-1 showing at the Ragin' Cajuns Classic in Lafayette, La., hosted by Louisiana Lafayette.

LAST WEEKEND RECAP
UT Arlington finished its final tournament of the season, going 2-1, at the Ragin' Cajuns Classic, hosted by Louisiana Lafayette.
UTA 3, Jackson State 0
UTA opened the weekend with a huge sweep over Jackson State. The Mavericks led the game in every statistical category.
Evyn Snook led the game in kills (14) and points (16).
Hana Aiana led the game in hitting percentage (.714).
Mazi Smith led the game with 26 attacks.
Samantha Glenn led the game in digs (16).
Lucy Tricco led the game in assists (37).
Sophia Krichev led the game in blocks with seven.
UTA 3, Louisiana Lafayette 2
UTA continued their winning streak on Friday, with a five-set victory over tournament host Louisiana Lafayette. Krichev led the game with seven blocks and a .400 hitting percentage, while
Emilee Sikora finished the game with 13 kills on a .360 hitting percentage. Tricco ended the game, finishing second in assists with 23 and Snook accumulated 13 kills and four digs, totaling 13 points.
MS State 3, UTA 0
UTA closed out the tournament with a hard-fought 3-0 loss against Mississippi State. Sikora led the Mavericks with eight kills, while adding 11 digs and two blocks.
Isabella Camacho paced UTA with 10 assists. McMinn recorded four kills and three assists.
Karisa Martin added four kills, while
Dixie Nessl contributed three blocks. UTA had three players record double-digit attacks: Sikora (27), McMinn (19), and Martin (19).
GAME NOTES
- UT Arlington ranks first in the UAC in blocks per set (2.25) and total blocks (108).
- Sophomore Sophia Krichev continues to top the conference in blocks per set (1.35) and total blocks (62). She also ranks third in hitting percentage at .349.
- Senior Evyn Snook ranks second in total attacks with 384.
