WACO, Texas - The University of Texas-Arlington senior women's tennis player, Marketa Cizova, advanced to the women's green division quarterfinals of the HEB/Baylor Invitational before losing to eventual singles champion Petra Dizdar of Texas, 6-1, 6-3 Sunday afternoon.

Cizova and her doubles partner, Daniela Novakova, fell in the gold doubles semifinals to fourth-seed Stephanie Balzert and Daria Potapova of Baylor, 8-6. In the green doubles division, the team of Monika Peciulionyte and Simri van Rooyen captured the co-championship after defeating the top-seeded team of Petra Bercik and Carolina Ramirez of Auburn, 9-7. Due to rains on Sunday no finals were played.

Peciulionyte lost in the women's gold singles division, 7-5, 6-2 to the top-seed Maja Mlakar of Arizona.

The UTA women return to action Oct. 3-4 at the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational.
