ARLINGTON, Texas - Due to field conditions and inclement weather in the Arlington area, Saturday's Southland Conference softball game between Texas-Arlington and Sam Houston State has been cancelled.

The squads split Friday's doubleheader with UTA taking the first game, 2-1, and the Bearkats bouncing back for an 8-0 victory in the nightcap.

The Lady Mavericks will return to action next weekend when they travel to Monroe, La., for a three-game SLC series with the Lady Indians.
