The lead would remain around 24 points for the next few minutes before the Kats would score nine-straight points to trim the deficit to 15 points. Three-pointers from Jamie Barr and Kendall Homesley sparked the run.
UTA responded with another three-pointer from Bobb and a step-back triple from Wallace as the shot clock was winding down to push the advantage back to 19 points.
The lead would grow back to 24-points as Abanobi hit her third three-pointer of the game and later hit a baseline jumper after Thompson hit a pair of free throws.
