ARLINGTON, Texas - The Texas-Arlington women's tennis team took their second straight decision, defeating Columbia, 5-2, Friday morning at the UTA Tennis Center.

The Lady Mavericks started out hot, taking all three doubles matches to receive the doubles point.

In singles play, freshman Klara Jagosova defeated Milena Kacher, 6-3, 7-5, at the number one position, while junior Simri van Rooyen bested Sydney Murray, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, at the number three position. Junior Monika Peciulionyte beat Molly Condit, 6-2, 7-5, at the number four position, and senior Anete Rozklane clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Nina Suda at the number five position.

The Lady Mavericks will be back in action Saturday when they host SLC-foe Louisiana-Monroe. First-serve is set for 10 a.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
