Lettered two seasons at Tyler Junior College for coach John Peterson...Helped lead the Lady Apaches to a national championship her sophomore season...Named NJCAA All-America in doubles and also named Academic All-America her sophomore season...During her junior season was named NJCAA All-America in singles and ITA (JUCO) All-America in doubles...Lettered three seasons at Arlington High School...Helped lead team to district championship her senior season...Also named a National Hispanic Scholar.
