ARLINGTON, Texas - The Texas-Arlington men's tennis team lost to #75 Columbia, 5-2, Friday afternoon at the UTA Tennis Center.

Columbia took the doubles point by winning all three doubles matches.

Texas-Arlington (4-3) was only able to win two of the six singles matches. Senior Sandy Farquharson stayed true to his #113 ranking, defeating Mark Clemente, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, at the number one position. Junior Daniel Omana defeated Paul Ratchford, 6-4, 6-3, at the number three position for the Mavericks' only other victory.

The Mavericks will be back in action Sunday when they host Arkansas-Little Rock. First-serve is set for 10 a.m. at the UTA Tennis Center.
