May 25, 2006

PALO ALTO, Calif. - After knocking off the 23rd-ranked player in the nation last night, UT Arlington freshman Klara Jagosova fell to Lindsey Nelson of Southern California, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, Thursday afternoon.

Jagosova held a 3-1 lead in the first set before Nelson, who is ranked 18th in the nation, rallied off five-straight games to take the opening frame, 6-3.

In the second set, the Prauge, Czech Republic native, jumped out to an early 4-1 lead, before Nelson rallied once again to cut the lead to 5-4. Jagosova ceased the rally and won the next game, breaking Nelson's serve.

Tied at a set all, Jagosova came out in the third set on fire, taking another 4-1 lead. Nelson rebounded once again, taking the next five games to win the set and match.

Jagosova ends her season with a 26-11 overall record and a 15-6 dual match record.
