FORT WORTH, Texas - UT Arlington senior sprinter Kourtnee Jones qualified for the NCAA Regional Meet for the second straight season after a time of 11.70 seconds in the 100 meters at the Horned Frog Invitational at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex here Saturday.

Jones' time in the 100 meters was good enough for third place and was the fastest time in the Southland Conference this spring. She also clocked a league-best 24.06 for second place in the 200 meters.

"We are really pleased with the way we ran today," said UTA Head Track and field Coach John Sauerhage. "We will take some momentum into our meet next week. These next two weeks are really important for us as we try and qualify people for regional."

Senior thrower Linda Rosema broke a school record with a hammer throw of 51.83 meters (170-00) and set a personal best in the discus with a throw of 141-feet, 11-inches.

Freshman Antonia Hopkins turned the first sub-57 time in more than three seasons with a 56.67 for second place in the 400 meters. Bryana Hill was third with a 57.90 and Chamberlain Garber was fifth with a 58.15.
