COURTNEY ZINK HEADS RECRUITING CLASS BEFORE FALL PRACTICE

ARLINGTON, Texas - Before stepping onto the diamond this season for the start of Fall practice, recently signed infielder Courtney Zink has added numerous awards to her trophy case.

The Baytown Sterling High School product collected TXSWA (Texas Sportswriters Association) Second Team All-State laurels, was a TGCA (Texas Girls Coaches Association) All-State award winner, earned TGCA Academic accolades, and was selected to play in the 4A/5A All-Star Game this past summer.

During her prep career, Zink led her team to a 68-21 overall record, where she earned Second-Team All-District honors her junior season and followed that with First-Team laurels as a senior.

Zink joins Kingwood shortstop Courtney Enocksen, Pasadena Dobie infielder/outfielder Kelsey Kaiser, Frisco outfielder/infielder Kari Karr, Forney catcher Erica LeFlore, Deer Park outfielder Lissette (Liz) Lopez, and Houston Clear Lake outfielder Charne Office as part of the seven-player recruiting class.
