ARLINGTON, Texas - The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) has selected FieldTurf for installation at Maverick Stadium, the home of the school's men's and women's track teams, and one of the most utilized track-and-field facilities in the Southwest. The announcement was made by Maverick Stadium Manager Tom Kloza and FieldTurf CEO Joe Fields.

The installation will commence this July and will be in place for the Mavericks' 2009 track season. FieldTurf will be replacing the facility's previous ten-year old artificial turf.

"We are very pleased with our decision to install FieldTurf at Maverick Stadium," said Stadium Manager Tom Kloza. "When we researched this issue, without question, FieldTurf was the most stable of all of the artificial turf companies. The technological aspects of FieldTurf , with the way they do things, were far in advance of their competitors. "It will be a great addition to our facility and will help in our recruiting efforts now and in the future. Our athletes are already looking forward to working out on it."

Maverick Stadium opened in 1980 and has a seating capacity of 12,000. It is not only the home of UTA men's and women's track, but it is also one of the busiest high school sports facilities in the Southwest.
