AMES, Iowa - Idilio Campos and Jarid Vaughan each took advantage of the opportunity to run at the NCAA Qualifying Meet in Ames, Iowa Saturday as each registered a NCAA provisional time in their respective events.

Campos recorded a mark of 1:50.29 in the 800 meters while Vaughan had a 21.19 in the 200 meters.

"These times do not guarantee them a spot in the NCAAs but they are at least on the list now," UTA head coach John Sauerhage said.

Cordero Gray narrowly missed out on posting a provisional time with marks of 6.81 in the prelims and 6.79 in the finals of the 60 meters. The men's 4x400 relay team also just missed out with a time of 3:11.14.

Meanwhile at the qualifying meet at the University of Arkansas, Wade Hayes (pole vault) and Andrew Duncan III (triple jump) did not qualify.
