ARLINGTON, Tex. - UT Arlington heads to Baylor University on Saturday to compete in the Michael Johnson Invitational.
The Mavericks look to build on several already strong performances this year, including that of the women's 4x400m relay team. Last week at the Northwestern State Invitational, the relay team of DeAndrea Smith, Brittany Culbertson, Megan Turner and Breonna Baldwin set the meet record in the event. The team also won the Bobby Lane Invitational earlier this season.
Others to watch this weekend include Casey Keeter, coming off a week off, and Jeff Rodriguez, who is still returning to form after missing a few months of competition.
Juan Lewis will also try to improve on his 400m time and Dwight Robinson is scheduled to make his return to competition in the 800m.
The men's 4x100m relay team of Cordero Gray, Clayton Vaughn, Andrew Pettis and Lionel Mungwari is scheduled to compete against TCU, Texas and Baylor, meaning four of the nation's top relay teams will face off on Saturday.
