Track & Field concludes Day 1 of Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Ia. - Esther Abuto ran a personal-best time of 2:09.93 in the 800m Thursday on the first day of Drake Relays, highlighting the day for the Mavericks.

Abuto entered the day already leading the Southland Conference in the 800m. The senior finished third in the event.

Lindsey Putman finished ninth in the women's 800m by clocking a time of 2:12.01.

Dwight Robinson placed 12th in the men's 800m.

Day 2 of the Drake Relays is scheduled for Friday.
