Final Stats
Arlington, Texas - The Mavericks suffered their third Southland Conference loss of the season Saturday at Texas Hall against the Lamar Cardinals, 68-52.
UT Arlington is now 0-3 in league play and 2-12 overall.
Lamar got off to a quick start after shooting 5-for-5 in the first minutes of the game. The Mavericks were able to come within one point, but the Cardinals did not let up.
The Mavericks went to the locker room trailing 41-32 after the first half of play.
Junior Kiara Parker led the Mavericks with 14 points and was also able to pick up a double-double after grabbing 12 rebounds while also coming away with 5 steals.
Freshman Takiyah Langford also stepped up for UT Arlington scoring 12 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
The Cardinals' Kalis Loyd scored 28 points in her 30 minutes of play with 10 of those coming from the line.
The Mavericks remain home at Texas Hall to host the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Islanders on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
