ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington men's basketball will debut an alternative orange-based uniform for Friday night's Homecoming game against Cleveland State at College Park Center.
"These orange uniforms are probably my favorite uniforms that we have ever worn," UT Arlington coach Scott Cross said. "They have a camo print on the side and look extremely sharp. If our players play as good as they will look tomorrow night, then we will be in great shape."
An "Orange Out" is also being celebrated during the Homecoming Game, with fans encouraged to wear orange.
The orange uniforms, designed by adidas, read "ARLINGTON" across the front, with "ARLINGTON" also down the left side of the shorts and a Mavericks logo on the front of the left leg. The orange uniforms can be worn at home and on the road.
The Mavericks are 2-1 after Wednesday's 111-64 victory over Howard Payne. Senior guard Reger Dowell scored a career-high 35 against Howard Payne and is 17th nationally in scoring at 26.3 points per game.
Tipoff against Cleveland State is 7:30 p.m. with the radio broadcast on 970 AM. Tickets are available at UTATickets.com.
