LAS CRUCES, New Mexico - The UT Arlington men's tennis team shutout Western New Mexico 4-0 Friday, March 1.

With this victory the men improve to 2-3 overall with all three loses coming to nationally ranked Big 12 opponent and both wins coming against Division II competition.

The Mavericks won the doubles point at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to jump out to an early 1-0 lead over WNMU.

Sebastian Erimicioiu, Carlos Arbiza and Marek Pesicka each defeated their opponent at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 positions respectively.

The Mavericks face Western Athletic Conference opponent New Mexico State Saturday, March 2 at 11 a.m. in Las Cruces, New Mexico for their first conference match of the season.
