"I'm pretty confident in the way both teams are playing right now," UTA coach Diego Benitez said. "We have another competitive match ahead of us against one of the best Division II schools. It's another opportunity for us to implement what we have been practicing."
The women have mixed it up this week in practice by working on different double pairings to see which pairs will have the most success. Astrid Gehre and Elizabeth Thoms dominated last week against UIW winning 6-1.
The UTA men hope to bounce back after losing to Troy last weekend in the first Sun Belt Conference match of the season. The men entered the match with momentum, but came up short against the Trojans losing 4-0.
"I expect our guys to come out focused and execute what we have been practicing all week," Benitez said. "They have been doing a lot of conditioning to prepare for the upcoming weeks so they should be ready."
The matches start with dual play followed by doubles. For updates follow @UTAMavs on Twitter.
