TROY, Ala. -- Due to anticipated poor weather in the area, UT Arlington's doubleheader with Troy has been cancelled.
The teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday at Troy Softball Complex. UTA is seeking to improve on its position in the Sun Belt. The Mavericks (27-22, 8-10) are seventh in the conference, three games behind third-place Troy.
Saturday's contest is UTA's first cancelled game in SBC play. UTA and Troy were originally scheduled to begin a doubleheader at 1 p.m., but due to inclement weather, had to delay the originally scheduled start.
