I started running because:

My teacher and father suggested that I enter a "Fun Run 5k" when I was in elementary school and I took on the challenge without having any prior knowledge about running. I competed in the race and came in 1st place as a 5th grader!

The reason I love to run is:

Because it's all I really know. My life has revolved around it since I was 10. I love competition because it gives me a chance to show the crowd my talent.

The best part about being on the track/cross country team is:

The bonds that we create with one another, knowing that each one of us will continue that friendship on after our sport.

I chose my major (Interdisciplinary Studies) because:

The path I chose is based on Kinesiology but with a focus on Health & Wellness and Physical Education.
