Postgame Notes

• UTA improved to 5-3 on the season and has won its last four games.

• Texas dropped to 3-3 on the season. The Longhorns have lost three straight.

• The victory was UTA's first-ever over Texas. The Longhorns had won the previous 11 matchups, all taking place in Austin.

• For the fourth straight game, UTA's starting lineup consisted of forwards Jorge Bilbao and Kevin Hervey and guards Jalen Jones, Drew Charles and Erick Neal.

• Texas' starting lineup consisted of forwards Jarrett Allen and Shaquille Cleare and guards Kendal Yancy, Eric Davis, Jr. and Kerwin Roach, Jr.

• Kaelon Wilson was UTA's first substitute off the bench at the 17:32 mark of the first half.

• UTA return to action Saturday at 2 p.m. against the University of North Texas at the Super Pit in Denton.

• Texas hosts the University of Alabama Friday at 8:30 p.m. in the Frank Erwin Center.

• Kevin Hervey registered his second double-double of the season and the 11th of his career. He missed 19 games last season after suffering a knee injury.
