Postgame Notes

  • UTA improved to 9-3 on the season and has won eight consecutive games. The Mavericks return to action Thursday, December 22 at 9 p.m. (CST) at Loyola Marymount.
  • Bradley dropped to 5-6 on the season. The Braves return to action in Oxford, Miss. on Monday, Dec. 19 at the University of Mississippi.
  • Bradley's starting lineup consisted of forwards Donte Thomas and Luuk van Bree and guards Antoine Pittman, Darrell Brown, Jr. and Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye.
  • UTA jumped out to a 12-0 lead, limiting Bradley without a point for the first 7:38 of the game. Bradley called its first timeout just 3:32 into the game when the Mavs led 8-0 on a pair of Erick Neal 3-pointers and a Kevin Hervey layup.
  • Erick Neal finished the game with 5 assists. He surpassed Jeffrey Stewart (1978-82) for fifth on UTA's record book for career assists with 378.
  • UTA's victory was its fourth straight in the all-time series against Bradley. The Mavericks lead the series 4-3 since the first meeting in 1969. Only one of the seven games in the series has been played in Arlington (a 97-61 win in 2015).
  • Kevin Hervey finished with 15 points and season-high 14 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. The rebound total is one shy of his career best.
  • Jorge Bilbao fouled out for the third time this season and the seventh time in his career.
  • UTA's scoring total of 56 points was the lowest in a victory since defeating Texas State 56-48 on Jan. 18, 2014 in San Marcos.
