Nov. 30, 2017 ARLINGTON, Texas -- The UTA marketing department has taken steps to enhance its brand identity through the hiring of Julie Flickner as its new director of graphic design.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute to UTA's brand," Flickner said. "I wanted to thank Jim Baker and Russell Warren for giving me a great chance to contribute to a growing athletics program and university. It has been very rewarding to enhance and develop my skills over the last few years at UTA and I am looking forward to continuing to have a positive impact."
A native of Mansfield, Texas, Flickner has served as UTA's part-time graphic designer since 2015 while she finished her degree in business management with a concentration in marketing and a minor in graphic design. With over 15 years of experience in graphic elements and leadership of marketing programs, Flickner has a bevy of roles throughout the UTA athletics program.
"Julie has been an important part of our team the past three years, and the opportunity for us to add her to our full-time staff greatly bolsters our branding and graphic design efforts," UTA Deputy Athletics Director Russell Warren said. "Julie has a creative mind and brings a great talent to our department. The ability to impact our fans and community through moving visuals is a result of her hard work."
Flickner and her husband Brad reside in Grand Prairie and have two daughters and two sons.
