POSTGAME NOTES
- UTA defeated Cal Poly 77-56 to close out nonconference play. The win lifted UTA's record to 9-4 in non-league play.
- Cal Poly fell to 4-9.
- Kevin Hervey moved into fourth in UTA scoring history, surpassing Paul Renfro (1976-80). Hervey's 25 points puts the senior at 1,392 in his career.
- Hervey's 25 points and 10 rebounds marked the 31st-career double-double and sixth of the season for the senior, while also posting at least 20 points for the 10th time in the season and 29th overall.
- UTA shot 43.3 percent, while Cal Poly hit at a 32.7 percent clip. Despite shooting 45.5 in the second half, Cal Poly was outscored 49-31 in the second half.
- The 49 second-half points tied a season-best for UTA, achieving the feat three times, including the last time out at No. 25 Creighton.
- Kaelon Wilson knocked down a career-high nine free throws, besting his mark of eight at UT Rio Grande Valley on Dec. 12, 2017. Wilson had 13 points
- Erick Neal dished seven assists, entering first in the nation at 9.3 assists per game.
