- UTA improved to 20-6 on the season and 10-3 in the Sun Belt. The Mavericks return to action Monday (Feb. 20) at Georgia Southern (6 p.m., ESPN3).
- Georgia State falls to 16-10 on the season and 9-5 in the Sun Belt. The Panthers are in action Monday at home against Texas State (6 p.m., ESPN3).
- Georgia State starting lineup consisted of forwards Jeremy Hollowell and Jordan Session and guards Malik Benlevi, Isaiah Williams, D'Marcus Simonds.
- Link Kabadyundi was UTA's first substitute off the bench at the 16:36 mark of the first half.
- UTA improved to 20-6 on the season, marking the first time in program history the Mavericks won 20 or more games in back-to-back seasons.
- Junior forward Kevin Hervey registered 10 rebounds at Georgia State. The Arlington native now has 543 in his career and is one short of Albert Culton (544, 1980-82) for 17th on the UTA record book for career rebounds.
- Hervey scored 17 points in today's game at Georgia State. He has scored in double-figures in 19-straight appearances (He missed the Troy game) and 22 times this season.
- Hervey's 17 points and 10 rebounds gives him 10 double-doubles this season and 18 in his career at UTA.
- Junior guard Erick Neal tied his season high with 7 rebounds at Georgia State. The Dallas native's previous season high was 7 at North Texas on Dec. 3.
- Senior guard Drew Charles connected on 4 3-pointers at Georgia State. The Azle native's is 9th on the UTA list for career 3-pointers with 154. Ridrick Epps is 8th with 155 from 2004-08.
