After posting a 2-0 win on Thursday night in the series opener behind eight three-hit innings from Kadon Simmons, UTA (18-17, 9-5 Sun Belt) saw its early one-run lead evaporate in the fourth inning as the Trojans batted around to plate five runs.

UTA plated single runs in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings but Little Rock scored three runs on homers in the seventh and eighth, and got a run in the ninth.

HOW THEY SCORED
The Mavs plated the first run of the game on four hits in the second inning. Olson led off by getting hit by a pitch and Rohrbaugh lined a 3-1 offering into leftfield for a base hit. After a pop out and a passed ball moved the runners into scoring position, Berthiaume dropped a single into leftfield to score Olson.

In the top of the fourth inning, Little Rock got on the board, getting a one-out double from Hunter Owens on a high chopper over the head of Brady Cox at third base. Dalton Thomas then drew a walk and Nick Gifford singled through the left side to score Ownes from second base. Cameron Knight followed with a high chopper off the plate that he reached on a single, but the throw skidded in the dirt for a throwing error, allowing Thomas to score from second. Cale Ridling then hung a sacrifice fly to score Gifford from third base. Ty Gunter then chopped a single through the right side to score Knight. Kale Emshoff then singled into right-centerfield to score Gunter for a 5-1 lead.

UTA cut into the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning, getting Funk on with a leadoff hit by pitch, with Williams moving him to third with a double down the line. Cox then hung a sacrifice fly to leftfield to score Funk from third.

Owens hit his sixth homer of the year in the seventh inning, giving the Trojans a 6-2 lead.

UTA got the run back in the bottom of the seventh inning as Berthiaume led off with a walk, scoring on a RBI fielder's choice from Williams.
