POSTGAME NOTES
- UTA falls to 11-7 on the season and 2-3 against Sun Belt competition. The Mavericks return to action Saturday at Arkansas State with a 7 p.m. tipoff in the ASU Convocation Center. UTA returns to College Park Center on Thursday, Jan. 18 against current Sun Belt league-leader Louisiana.
- Little Rock improves to 5-13 on the season and 2-3 in the Sun Belt. The Trojans host Texas State Saturday at 7 p.m.
- Grad transfer center Johnny Hamilton scored 14 points with 11 rebounds at Little Rock, marking his fourth double-double of the season.
- Senior forward Kevin Hervey scored 21 points at Little Rock to give him 1,467 career points. He is third all-time at UTA and 10 points shy of second-place Anthony Vereen's 1,477 points from 2005-09.
- Senior guard Erick Neal scored 11 points at Little Rock. The Dallas native has 1,241 points in his career and has moved into 10th on the school's career scoring list - he passed Bill Washington, who scored 1,237 from 1996-00.
- UTA registered 21 turnovers at Little Rock, equaling the team's highest single game total this season.
