ARLINGTON, Texas - Guanarteme Nuez became UTA's first Sun Belt Player of the Week award winner this season after Nuez went undefeated in a pair of singles and doubles matches last week.

Nuez picked up singles wins over Florida Gulf Coast's Felipe Ramirez (7-6, 6-4) and Florida Atlantic's Remi Chanceral (7-6, 6-1) and back-to-back 6-4 doubles wins over FGCU's Felipe Escobar and Austin Bates and FAU's Chanceral and Thomas Guy.

For the spring season, Nuez is 8-1 in singles and 7-2 in doubles.
