ARLINGTON, Texas – Looking to bounce back from a tough 3-0 loss to Texas State in mid-week action, the UTA volleyball team (10-7, 2-3 SBC) heads to welcomes Georgia Southern and Georgia State to College Park Center for a pair of Sun Belt conference matches.
The Mavs will face the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 11 (6:30 p.m.) before hosting the Panthers on Saturday night (Oct. 12). At 6:30 p.m.

- The Eagles split a pair of Sun Belt matches last weekend in Hanner Fieldhouse, their first home league contests. GS topped Troy 3-1 and fell 3-0 to South Alabama.
- Middle Baylor Bumford set the school record for single-match blocks against the Trojans. The sophomore's total of 15 topped the mark of 14, set by Megan Pfeiffer in a five-set match against Charleston Southern in 1995. Bumford added two blocks against South Alabama and averaged 2.43 per set to earn Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week accolades. She also notched 14 kills and hit a team high .565 for the week.
- Madison Brown ranks sixth in the Sun Belt in assists (9.17 per set), and Landon Jones ranks sixth in digs (4.30 per set).

- Meisheia Griffin (123), Sydney Stroud, (131), and Dzemila Hadzic (102) have all notched over 100 kills this season.
- Meisheia Griffin leads the Sun Belt with an average of 1.17 blocks per set. In the back row Lauren Bandera's 4.66 digs per set rank second in the conference.
- On offense seniors Sydney Stroud and Madelyn Ott have continued to be key hitters for the Panthers. Stroud leads the offense with 131 kills. Ott has proven to be the most efficient hitter with a .348 hitting percentage, best for third in the Sun Belt.

Kylie Jedlicka lead the team with 219 and 173 kills, respectively.

Madison Hill is 55 kills away from 1,000 for her career. She currently has 945 career kills.

SBC PLAY FOR UTA
- UTA has posted a 62-45 record in SBC play since joining the league in 2013.
- The Mavs have won 10+ SBC matches in four of their six season in the league.

UTA Volleyball single-match tickets are now on sale for the 2019 season. Single-match tickets are general admission and are $6 for fans over the age of three, while children two and under get in free.
