ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington volleyball hits the road for a couple of Sun Belt matches this weekend. On Friday, the Mavs take on Appalachian State in Boone, N.C. at 5:30 p.m. CT, followed by an 11:30 a.m. CT matchup at Coastal Carolina on Sunday.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | APP STATE
- App State enters the weekend with a 9-12 overall record and sits in fourth place in the Sun Belt East Division with a 5-3 mark, just a game behind Troy and South Alabama
- In Friday's contest against Coastal Carolina, Emma Longley, Kara Spicer and Victoria Wilform each finished with 11 kills.
- Longley has reached double figures in kills in all eight conference matches this season and ranks third in the league, averaging 4.05 kills per set
- Spicer has posted 10 or more kills in 14 contests this season and ranks fourth in the Sun Belt in hitting percentage at .337
- Wilform has posted double figures in kills in six of her last matches and is averaging 3.70 kills per set during that span.
- Emma Reilly is leading the Sun Belt in total digs (388) and digs per set (4.91). The junior libero also has 1,294 digs in her career, which ranks seventh all-time and is just four shy of moving into sixth place in program history.

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | COASTAL CAROLINA
- The Chanticleers took both matches versus the Appalachian State Mountaineers a week ago to give themselves a two-match lead over the Troy Trojans with an 8-0  Sun Belt East record and an 18-2 overall.
- On Tuesday, the duo of sophomore Anett Nemeth and freshman Brigitta Petrenko picked up Sun Belt Conference weekly awards for the second consecutive week.
- Nemeth earned her second consecutive and her third overall Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week in 2019 as she tallied 38 kills and five blocks.
- Petrenko picked up her seventh overall conference award of her rookie season, her second-straight weekly honor, and fourth overall Sun Belt Freshman of the Week award.
- Petrenko's five aces last week have given her 43 (.58/set) on the season, the best in the conference, and seventh in the NCAA. The Chants are the nation's leading serving team with 2.24 aces per set.
- Nemeth ranks 24th nationally and first in the Sun Belt with 4.33 kills per set. The Pecel, Hungary native is Coastal's team leader with a .345 hitting percentage. As a team, Coastal ranks seventh in the NCAA with a .284 mark hitting percentage.

UTA NOTES
- The Mavs have dropped four straight matches.
- UTA is outhitting the opposition .207-.186.
- Brooke Townsend and Kylie Jedlicka lead the team with 271 and 216 kills, respectively.
- Madison Hill is 9 kills away from 1,000 for her career. She currently has 991 career kills.
- Madelyn St. Germain ranks third in the Sun Belt in total digs (342) and digs per set (4.62), while Townsend sits fourth in the conference in kills per set at 3.57.

BEST START SINCE 2015
UTA's 8-4 start was the best start to a season since 2015. The 8-4 start was also the best start for UTA since head coach J.T. Wenger took over.

SBC PLAY FOR UTA
- UTA has posted a 63-48 record in SBC play since joining the league in 2013.
- The Mavs have won 10+ SBC matches in four of their six season in the league.

UTA Volleyball single-match tickets are now on sale for the 2019 season. Single-match tickets are general admission and are $6 for fans over the age of three, while children two and under get in free.
