ARLINGTON, Texas – The UTA women's basketball team will look to bounce back from its tough loss to Little Rock on Saturday afternoon when Arkansas State visits the College Park Center. Tip-off for the matchup is set for 2 p.m.

PROMO | UTA BEATS CANCER
Saturday's game vs. Arkansas State will be UTA Women's Basketball's annual UTA Beats Cancer game. Multiple cancer survivors will be recognized during the game, and the first 400 fans will receive a free pink rally towel. Pink UTA Beats Cancer t-shirts will be sold at the game, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society's Sun Belt Fights Cancer initiative, benefiting local Arlington hospitals.
LAST TIME OUT | UTA VS. LITTLE ROCK (FEB 14)
In a battle of the best teams in the Sun Belt Conference that featured eight lead changes and nine ties, Little Rock escaped with a 62-61 road win over the Lady Mavericks on Thursday night at the College Park Center.
With the loss, UTA fell to 18-6 overall (10-3 SBC) and had their six-game winning streak snapped.
Ronjanae DeGray knocked down a pair of free throws with 10.7 free throws to give the Trojans the lead for good. DeGray notched a double-double for Little Rock with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Cierra Johnson paced the Mavericks with 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting.
Aysia Evans added 11 points (all in the first half), while
Brooke Alexander chipped in with nine points.
Katie Ferrell did a little bit of everything on the night, finishing with five points, five boards, five assists and a pair of blocks.
Little Rock's hot shooting carried them to an early lead, as the Trojans started the game a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor. Little Rock would go on to shoot 80 percent in the first quarter.
Despite turning the Trojans over 19 times, UTA had problems forcing Little Rock into tough shots and getting defensive stops all game long. Little Rock finished the game shooting 53.3 percent (24-of-45) from the field.
LEADER OF THE PACK
The Lady Mavericks have 18 wins on the season, which are tied for the most by any Sun Belt school this season.

Cierra Johnson was named College Sports Madness Sun Belt Player of the Week on Monday, Feb. 11. The award marks the third Player of the Week honor for C. Johnson this season (2 College Sports Madness, 1 Sun Belt Conference).

The Lady Mavs' 100 points in their 100-73 win at Arkansas State on Jan. 17 are tied for the most points scored by a Sun Belt team in conference play this season. Troy recently scored 100 points (100-89) in their win over Arkansas State on Feb. 9.
