ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington softball head coach
Peejay Brun has announced the signing of Jaycie Hall to the 2021 class.
Hall, a pitcher from North Lamar High School in Paris, Texas, will join Kaylee Cavazos (San Marcos HS), Aaliyah White (Angleton HS), Morgan Max (Moore HS; Moore, Oklahoma) and Haley Mountain (The Woodlands HS) as members of the incoming recruiting class.
"Jaycie is playing for local travel ball powerhouse Texas Glory Shelton," said Brun. "She's faced some of the top travel teams in the region and the nation. She throws in the mid-60s and pitches a heavy ball. Combine that with her experience and she will make an immediate impact in the circle."
At North Lamar High School Hall finished with a career batting average of .399 and six homes at the plate, while striking out 301 batters on the mound with an ERA of 1.20. Throughout her high school career Hall has thrown multiple no hitters and perfect games. She helped lead NLHS to a District Championship. Hall was a member of National Honor Society. She played club ball for Texas Glory Shelton and Texas Glory Adkins. She helped Glory Shelton win the Top Gun Invitational.
The Mavs will look to continue the momentum they gained from 2020 when they won four of their final five games in the COVID shortened season.
