- This is the third year in a row that the Mavs and Islanders have opened the season. AMCC has won both previous series.
- Darin Thomas returns to the Mavs dugout for his 13th season. His 350 wins are the 2nd most in UTA history behind only Butch McBroom (756).
- UTA's schedule features 10 total games against five teams that participated in the 2019 NCAA postseason - Baylor (2), Coastal Carolina (3), Dallas Baptist (2), TCU (3), Texas A&M (1).
- The Mavericks return 84 percent of their runs scored and 62 percent of their innings pitched from a season ago.

- The Islanders finished last season 31-26, marking their fourth straight season where they saw an increase in wins.
- TAMCC returns their second-best hitter from a season ago in Itchy Burts. Burts hit .356 on the year with a team-high .494 slugging percentage. He also led the team in home runs (3) and triples (15).
- Leo Perez had the second most starts for the Islanders a season ago (12). The sophomore out of Palmview, Texas went 2-3 with a 5.53 ERA last season.
- John Gaddis was third on the team in innings pitched (49.2) and ERA (3.08) last year for the Islanders.
ON DECK
The Mavericks will stay in the Metroplex, traveling to Dallas Baptist on Tuesday (Feb. 18) for a 6:30 p.m. game against the Patriots.

SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets are available for baseball for $75, while softball is $25. All seating is general admission. Individual tickets for both baseball and softball will $6, except for the March 24 baseball contest against TCU, which will be $10. Children aged two and under, as well as UTA students with an ID, get in to all games for free.
