UTA NOTES
- Josh Minjarez leads the Mavericks and the Sun Belt Conference with three home runs. The senior shortstop has hit all three in the last two games played.
- The Mavericks ar currently ranked in the Top 25 in the NCAA in home runs (9 - 25th) and ERA (2.06 - 24th). They are just outside in fielding percentage (.983 - 28th).
- UTA has now defeated a ranked opponent threes times in the last two seasons after their win over #18 DBU on Tuesday. Last season they defeated #19 TCU and #17 Baylor.
- Cesar Gomez looks to have secured the closer role for the Mavericks. His three saves already this season is second in the nation and only one behind NCAA leader Casey Schmitt (San Diego State).
- Phillip Childs and Connor Aube have had a hit in every game they've played this season. Aube is on an 8-game hitting streak dating back to the SBC Tournament and has had a hit in 12 out of the last 13 games.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT | UTAH
- The Utah pitchers only gave up five runs in the three games played last week. The team had two wins come in the final inning as the Utes beat A&M Corpus Christi in 11 innings and rallied to beat Kansas State in in the ninth inning.
- The Utes have two players hitting over .400 on the season. Shea Kramer (.435) and Vinny Zavolta (.417) lead the Utah hitters through the first seven games of the year.
- Opponents are hitting .304 against the Utes pitching staff collectively.
- Utah has not been a long ball team so far this season. Through seven games, they only have three home runs.

UTA will head to cross-town rival TCU on Tuesday (March 3) at 6:30 p.m. at Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium at Williams-Reilly Field. Last season the Mavericks went 1-2 against the Horned Frogs

SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets are available for baseball for $75, while softball is $25. All seating is general admission. Individual tickets for both baseball and softball will $6, except for the March 24 baseball contest against TCU, which will be $10. Children aged two and under, as well as UTA students with an ID, get in to all games for free.
