About First Pitch Banquet

First Pitch is one of our major sport specific fundraisers that our Maverick Club staff hosts annually for the UTA Baseball Program. This event is held at the Justin D. Wilson Hitting Facility located at Clay Gould Ballpark, and it helps to raise funds specifically for the baseball program. This event helps offset the cost of scholarships, team meals, gear, travel, facility upgrades, and much more. The fundraiser is open to the public and typically includes a catered meal by our corporate sponsor Fuzzy's Taco Shop, music, a silent & live auction. It also features special guests such as MLB All-Start Ian Kinsler (2020) and Sr. Director of Pro Scouting/Assistant to the General Manager of the Kansas City Royals Gene Watson (2022). This year's event had a wonderful turnout with over 100 tickets being sold and over $10,500.00 being raised in total.
