COLLEGE STATION – The UT Arlington track & field team knocked the rust off on Saturday (Jan. 16) in the indoor season opener at the Ted Nelson Invitational. The Mavericks took home the individual title in the women's mile, the men's 3000m and the men's high jump in their first completion in 327 days.
"We're glad to be back in action," said head coach
John Sauerhage. "We had several of our student-athletes compete very well and have top notch marks. It feels good to compete and knock off the rust from our long layover, but we will turn the page and go right back at it next week."
