NEW ORLEANS – A pair of Sun Belt Conference men's basketball games will appear on ESPN2 during the 2021-22 regular season.
Â
The game selections – of which all league teams are eligible for – will be determined at a later date with the broadcasts to occur on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. Central, and on Friday, Feb. 25, also at 8 p.m. Central.
Â
To accommodate those broadcasts, the final week of the conference regular season will move to a Wednesday and Friday format. All games previously scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 24, will shift to Wednesday, Feb. 23. All games previously scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26, will move to Friday, Feb. 25, and will be in consideration for the Sun Belt's ESPN2 broadcast.
Â
For UTA, that means that its final two contests of the season now occur at Troy (Feb. 23) at 6 p.m. and at South Alabama (Feb. 25) at 7 p.m. – unless picked up by ESPN2, in which case it would be the aforementioned 8 p.m. start time.
